This is one of my favorite articles to write here on Adventure in America, mostly because I am also an enthusiast photographer with a low-budget camera and accessories, but the feeling I get when I have them in my hands is what I call freedom.
If you’re like me and you combine photography with traveling, then you’re going to enjoy reading these lines. Without question, the landscapes of the United States are the most stunning locations for photos.
Those who seek to capture remarkable images find inspiration in the American Southwest, which is home to some of the nation’s most well-known parks and natural places. But let’s not forget about how stunning cities are too!

Niagara Falls, NY
Though its origins are said to date back around 12,000 years, photographers continue to be captivated by the falls of Niagara Falls, no matter how many pictures they take of them. Honestly, I couldn’t think of a better destination to put in the first place.
For fascinating photos, see it from near the edge of the falls or from a tour boat below the falls. You may enjoy it year-round, but winter is especially photogenic with all the snow and ice.
I suggest going over the border into Canada to view the falls from their Canadian viewpoint for an alternative viewpoint. Trust me when I say: it’s unbelievable!
Antelope Canyon, AZ
Have you ever been to the Antelope Canyon? If you’re an enthusiast photographer and you enjoy taking some amazing pictures this is the place you’ll get them! Let me tell you what I find nice in this place.
Photographers can unleash their imagination in Antelope Canyon’s chiseled stone walls. Shafts of light cast shadows and highlight certain parts of the walls, giving the stone a radiant orange hue and shaping forms.
Advice: Try not to think too much about the photos you capture! Simply begin shooting, then have a look at the gallery. You might be surprised how many photos will be suitable to use as desktop wallpaper.
If you plan to visit Antelope Canyon, it’s important to go with a guided group for safety and to gain valuable information about the place.
Key West, FL
Woop, woop! One of my favorite places on earth as an enthusiast photographer is Key West. Located in Florida this is like a little heaven and trust me when I say you won’t be able to stop yourself from taking 1000 pictures.
In addition to its vibrant sunsets, Key West is worth visiting because of its charming architecture and island atmosphere. Explore Old Town to witness stunning houses, numerous in pastel hues adorned with elaborate railings and trim. The buildings, many of which are from the late 1800s or early 1900s, have a decidedly Caribbean vibe.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention Mallory Square which is definitely a “key” point in Key West!
Do you have a nice camera, but your hand doesn’t always help you get the high-quality pictures you’ve been dreaming of? Then you need a tripod. And where else than Amazon to get the best discounts? White Sands National Monument, NM
No, no, I am not going to send you to Harkonen’s Dune, but pretty close. Jokes aside, this destination is beyond perfect. Those white dunes that roll provide amazing photo opportunities. This is among the most well-liked destinations in New Mexico for travelers. The wind has shaped the tops of the dunes into lengthy s-curves that snake outward.
Take pictures in the late afternoon during the golden hour or early morning when the shadows are contrasted.
